The adjustable instrument column, also called the "intermediate tube" with an instrument adapter, turns your fixed-height stand into an adjustable stand. The adjustable instrument mount employs a handwheel-driven worm gear for up-and-down adjustment of the instrument column. The collar may then be clamped to avoid any inadvertent instrument movement. An adapter on top of the intermediate tube provides a standard external 3½"-8 thread for mounting instruments or other adapters.
The adjustable column adds an additional 19.5" (494 mm) of height.

RS fixed height stands: 21005, 21007, and 21008
232 fixed height stands: 232-F-36, 232-F-68, AND 232-F-96
Legacy fixed height rigid stands: 230-F-24 and taller.
This will not fit the 239 pedestal stand.
